Thierry Henry’s greatest career moments definitely happened while he was with Arsenal. He is still ranked as their best ever player and still holds five of the seven goal scoring recordsl. When he started with the mighty Gunners, he wasn’t yet a big star but Arsene Wenger had a plan for him. He transformed and moulded him quickly into a great striker, finishing his first season with an impressive 26 goals. The rest they say, is history…
We’re sure you have your own top Henry moments at Arsenal, but here’s ours;
5. Arsenal v Charlton Athletic (2004)
A very different shot from Thierry’s usual goals. A back-heel kick that went flying past Charlton’s keeper, but we think is it one of the most skilled shots we have seen!
4. Arsenal v Real Madrid (2006)
This goal sealed the moment that Arsenal became the first English club to ever win at Bernabeu. He makes his way past Ronaldo and Ramos before hitting it into the far corner. This is one that will be in the history books for a long time!
3. Arsenal v Liverpool (2004)
Perhaps Thierry Henry’s greatest hat-trick? We think this is the best goal out of the three after being 2-1 down to Liverpool at half time.
2. Arsenal v Sparta Prague (2005)
The goal that made Henry officially a legend. This is the moment that cemented him in the Arsenal history books.
1. Arsenal v Manchester United (2000)
A volley is always going to be a great goal, Henry flicks the ball and shoots into the top corner to create a majestic goal. It was even voted as the second best goal is Arsenal’s history.
