He’s a striker like no other isn’t he? When he’s not doing the impossible on the pitch, he is quite possibly the most outspoken player on the planet.
“Zlatan doesn’t do auditions.”
Let’s kick off this celebration with a throwback to way-back-when. Zlatan knew he was a star when he was still in nappies, evident when he had this to say about a potential trial at Arsenal –
“Arsene Wenger asked me to have a trial with Arsenal when I was 17. I turned it down. Zlatan doesn’t do auditions.”
Best goal ever?
In a show of some seriously impressive skill, I think it’s best to let this stunning goal speak for itself.
They think it’s all over…
Have you ever seen hit a ball so cleanly? I seriously doubt anyone could have stopped the ball from hitting the back of that net. You’d think Mourinho would have looked a bit happier about it…
Wisdom is only words to Zlatan
It’s a common thing for players to tell the press about their inspirations. Players or managers who have had such a profound impact, that for the rest of their career they hold them to the highest regard and let the world know it. But that would be like saying that Ibrahimovic was like every other player. I mean, it’s not like Pep is one of the world’s top managers, right? Oh…
“Then Guardiola started his philosopher thing. I was barely listening. Why would I? It was advanced bullshit about blood, sweat and tears, that kind of stuff.”
No, this is the best goal ever!
Honestly? England were lucky this happened in stoppage time, otherwise they’d have no choice but to walk off the pitch. To have saved this insane goal would have been a crime!
So there you have it, a taste of the mighty Zlatan in all his glory. What do you think, did I miss any magic moments? Feel free to drop me a tweet or Facebook message and let me know!
