Could David Moyes be Getting the Boot?

David Moyes hasn't been having the best time, Sunderland sit at the bottom of the table with just 2 points. Could this lead to Moyes receiving the boot for the third time?

There has been a few rumours circulating that David Moyes could be getting the chop from his managing post if his team fail in beating Bournemouth this weekend. The Scottish manager who replaced Sam Allardyce, signed a four year deal at the end of July this year, has seen a very poor opening only 3 months into the new position.

Sunderland have had the worst start to a Premier League season ever, which has seen them only gaining 2 points from their first 10 games (definitely not the best start to the Premier League David!) which has seen them place bottom of the table.

If that wasn’t bad enough Moyes has now received a touchline ban from Saturday’s match for swearing at an official.

Could these turn of events see Moyes receive his third sacking in three years?! In 2014 he received the boot from Manchester United after only 10 months and lasted just 12 months in Real Sociedad. But what about the 11 years that he spent at Everton, where he was congratulated and was even named manager of the month in September 2012? Could this all just be series of unfortunate events?

According to sources Sunderland owner Ellis Short is starting to become impatient with the results from Moyes and if  the Lads fail to beat Bournemouth then Moyes could be shown the door.

Will this be the end of Moye’s career at Sunderland? Apparently all of the team are in full support of him and continue to back him all the way. One thing is for certain this game is going to be of great importance to Moyes and the rest of the team…
